Build & Paint Your Own Vase: A Hands-On Ceramic Workshop
Get your hands dirty and your creativity flowing in this special two-part workshop inspired by the Gaze Vase exhibition.
Join Calgary-based ceramic artist Firuze Avcı for an immersive ceramic experience where you’ll design, build, and glaze your very own vase using traditional hand-building techniques.
Workshop Details:
Session 1: Thursday, April 11
Create your vase using coiling and pinching techniques.
Session 2: Friday, April 19
Return to glaze and finish your piece for firing.
No experience? No problem! This workshop is beginner-friendly and open to anyone ages 12+. All pieces will be fired and ready for pickup by the end of May.

In the first session, participants will hand-build their vases using basic ceramic techniques.
7:00 PM – 8:30 PM Session 2 offered April 19
In the second session, they will paint and finish their pieces. All works will be fired and ready for pickup at the end of May from Canopy studios.
