Events Description
FRONTIER is a gripping new theatre production set against the raw, untamed backdrop of the foothills of 1800s Alberta, Canada. Nameless and faceless, a woman races through shadows of the merciless woods, dragging her funeral skirts up river to erase her scent, pursued, haunted and driven by the dogs that hunt her. As Jane navigates the harsh, unforgiving landscape of the Canadian wilderness, she confronts not only the physical dangers of the frontier but also the hauntings of her past.
Co-created by Eric Rose and Jamie Konchak, and devised by a team of Calgary’s top theatre-makers, this physically driven epic explores the tension between vulnerability and strength, truth and myth.
