Events Description
Delve into the complex and rich histories rooted in the lands at The Confluence in this one hour guided tour of the cultural centre.
Through stories, photographs and a tour through our permanent exhibition space, uncover the layered past of the confluence on this indoor tour, which includes a presentation in the beautiful Burnswest Theatre and a guided walk through the cultural centre. From a place of significance to Indigenous Peoples since time immemorial, to the establishment of Fort Calgary, to what the land is like today, this tour will leave you with a richer understanding of the history of the place where the Bow and Elbow rivers meet.
Need some extra time to go through the exhibits at your own pace? This program includes admission to The Confluence Cultural Centre for you to explore before or after the tour.
