OEG Sports & Entertainment (OEGSE) and ETHOS announced today Edmonton’s largest Halloween Honky Tonk x YEEDM event is coming to Fan Park @ ICE District on Friday, October 31. YEEDM (pronounced yee-dee-em) blends country music with electronic dance music (EDM) by combining the traditional sounds of country and the energy and rhythms of EDM.
World class YEEDM DJ VAVO will be headlining the show, with Nashville’s fastest rising country stars Chandler Walters, Cody Lohden, and Rhys Rutherford putting on a live band set. In addition, viral Tik Tok star Madeleine Mae will be leading live line dancing throughout the event.
Blending country and EDM, VAVO is breaking boundaries with their genre-defying sound, YEEDM. With over 100 million global streams, multiple No. 1 hits and collaborations with Diplo, Thomas Rhett, Kane Brown and more, VAVO has taken the stage at major events including the 2024 ACM Awards, EDC Las Vegas, Stagecoach and more.
Chandler Walters, a 22-year-old Marietta native, blends classic-country with rock flair. A seasoned steel-guitar player and multi-Platinum No. 1 songwriter, he co-wrote Post Malone’s 5x Platinum hit “I Had Some Help (feat. Morgan Wallen)” and contributed six tracks to F-1 Trillion. Now signed to Ern’s Cadillac Music / DeVille Records, Walters is stepping into the spotlight and currently leading Post Malone’s band on the Big Ass Stadium tour.
Cody Lohden is a powerhouse country singer-songwriter, blending smooth country vocals with raw, lived-in lyrics. Lohden went from viral TikTok success to touring with ERNEST, Walker Hayes and Bailey Zimmerman while co-writing cuts for ERNEST, Zimmerman, Austin Snell and others.
Rhys Rutherford, a 25-year-old with a commanding baritone, sharp songwriting instincts and son of Hall of Famer Rivers Rutherford, blends country roots with rock, grunge and hip-hop influences. He co-wrote tracks for Bailey Zimmerman and ERNEST and made his debut as an artist on the Cadillac Sessions mixtape with “Get Her Name,” marking the start of a promising solo career.
