Events Description
London Symphonia with guest artists: Tania Miller, conductor Midori Marsh, soprano
Come with us for a breathtaking musical journey that includes Debussy’s iconic Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune, Dvorák’s glorious Symphony No. 8, and a World Premiere.
Midori Marsh, soprano, who delighted concert goers last season with her brilliance, returns to perform the World Premiere of Lasker-Schüler Songs by Scott Good, Composer-In-Residence. Midori’s unique counter-cultural virtuosity will bring to life texts written by the radical poet and Bohemian artist Else Lasker-Schüler, whose poems create a tapestry of mood and energy that kindles a wide-ranging musical response, ideal for this powerful new song cycle.
