Turkey Point Provincial Park is on the north end of the Inner Long Point Bay. These quieter Lake Erie shoreline areas around Long Point Bay create the perfect setting for a summer getaway or a vacation in the cooler spring and fall months. Explore Vulcan: Where Star Trek Meets Prairie History
As with many other Alberta towns, the history of Vulcan dates back to the early 20th century and CPR development. The railway and agriculture helped to build Vulcan, a place that once had nine grain elevators towering over it. It would only be by coincidence that a wildly famous science fiction series’ would share the town’s name. When visiting Vulcan today, all this history is on full display, including the Star Trek connection.
