Events Description
What if two greek gods settled a bet by giving fifteen dogs human consciousness?
Greek gods, Hermes and Apollo, throw back a few beers at an Ottawa tavern and contemplate whether it’s possible to die happy. They decide to make a bet, grant 15 dogs human consciousness, and watch as the pups discover the beauty and pitfalls of complex thought and emotion. This epic ‘tail’ explores who we are as living beings and the primal, vital connections we make with each other and ourselves. A true ensemble piece about dogs that’s poignantly human.
Based on the Giller Prize-winning book by André Alexis, this story will have audiences sitting, staying, and begging for more. Join the pack to experience a modern-day fable that offers genuine catharsis while exploring big themes like fate, mortality and what truly makes life meaningful.
