Events Description
Born in India, raised in Canada, and based in New York City, the multiple JUNO Award winning singer and composer Kiran Ahluwalia’s globetrotting background reflects the adventurous polyglot spirit of her music.
An acclaimed musician with roots in Indian classical, Sufi, Ghazal and Punjabi folk music, Ahluwalia’s free-ranging artistic curiosity can be clearly heard in her discography now seven albums deep. Her exquisitely crafted songs bring together the disparate traditions of Indian music, West African Blues, Jazz and American R&B. Three continents come together in these songs.
