Ottawa
Events Description
You are warmly invited to an interactive study and discussion of the BIC statement on unity and the environment, “One Planet, One Habitation.” This will be a hybrid meeting, both in person at the Baha’i Centre and on Zoom.
“This span of earth is but one homeland and one habitation. It behooveth you to abandon vainglory which causeth alienation and to set your hearts on whatever will ensure harmony” – Baha’u’llah
The main themes of the OPOH statement will be summarized and shared in a presentation with quotes from the Baha’i Faith, with ample opportunity for discussion and reflection on key points. How can we move toward the vision of a flourishing global civilization in harmony with the natural environment? What actions are inspired by this statement?
Let’s work together to address this important issue facing humanity through the refreshing lens of spiritual values, unity, and hope, to engage in meaningful conversation and action.
