Events Description

Eight people on stage. They’re neither actors nor celebrities—just anonymous faces we might pass on the sidewalk without a second glance. But this brilliant show, which has won over audiences at each stop on its tour, brings the frenetic pace of life to a grinding halt and turns toward these seemingly ordinary people, whose hidden treasures are revealed under the glow of the spotlight.

Eight protagonists present eight stage portraits unveiling their unique and fascinating lives. Eight endearing people tell their stories with frank honesty and vulnerability rarely seen on stage. From the young video game addict to the hospital-based occupational therapist, their separate stories have one incredible thing that brings them together. Find out what that throughline is as our ordinary heroes discuss transmission, memory, intangible heritage and, above all, the secret pilot light that warms the soul.

Eight distinct voices weave together in an exquisite thread of humanity. The dazzling duo of Anaïs Barbeau-Lavalette and Émile Proulx-Cloutier use these eight stage documentaries to encourage us to rethink how we perceive strangers and their lives, and to take a small step closer to them.

Pas perdus was also developed into a Radio-Canada podcast series. Narrated by Anaïs Barbeau-Lavalette, the series explores the meetings with the show’s eight protagonists. Listen to it on Radio-Canada’s OHdio platform (in French).
