Based in Caraquet, NB, guitar virtuoso Shaun Ferguson is an accomplished composer and performer. His instrumental music is modern, free, transcendent and unique; his musical language, richly poetic and surprisingly intense, takes listeners on a unique journey.
Shaun has captivated audiences across Canada and Europe with his charismatic personality and gentle yet powerful musical flights. His almost hypnotic performances appeal to instrumental music fans and other audiences alike.
Guided by his intuition, dexterity and sensitivity, he draws his inspiration from a wide range of genres, from folk to world music, transforming them in his own way. He has performed in over a dozen countries and received numerous prizes and distinctions over the course of his career.
He’ll be presenting material from his latest release at the NAC.
