Set inside a moving ambulance, Sur Appel (“on call”) is an immersive, intensely powerful experience. Audience members are invited to witness the fragility of human life in a race against time. When the medical world intersects with theatre, shadows, objects, and gestures interweave in a sensory journey that blurs the lines between reality and imagination.
An unusual and surprising work, Vicky Côté’s Sur Appel showcases her distinctive creative approach, combining object manipulation, shadow play, and dramatic performance. A thrilling, intimate and memorable experience.
Zones Théâtrales audiences were introduced to the Saguenay artist’s puppetry in 2021 with ogre (Tortue Noire and Théâtre La Rubrique), in which Côté operated an impressive giant puppet.
