Events Description
A multi-day, multi-venue curated collection of events with 20+ artists performing over four days throughout Saskatoon.
Giving Saskatoon/Treaty 6 people great reasons to leave their house in winter.
Winterruption has something for everyone, from indie royalty and Constantines front-man Bry Webb or folk-punk southern goddess Sunny War, to a two-day run of the critically-acclaimed dark comedy theatre show The Creepy Boys (from Scantily Glad Theatre), to a night of world-class drag with Saskatoon’s first Philipino drag collective, Bahay Kubo, to free outdoor programming for the whole family.
The winter festival programming will take place at a variety of venues including The Broadway Theatre, Amigos cantina, Black Cat Tavern, the Refinery and Cosmo Senior’s Centre.
In addition to the indoor events, the Broadway Theatre is offering two days of free, fun, family-friendly outdoor activities that will take place at W.E. Graham Park on Saturday and Sunday.
Winterruption is made possible by the support of our venue and presenting partners, The Broadway Theatre, Amigos Cantina, Black Cat Tavern, The Refinery Arts and Spirit Centre, Cosmo Seniors Centre, City Life, CFCR 90.5 FM – Saskatoon Community Radio, CBC Saskatchewan, Broadway District, Ness Creek Cultural and Recreational Society, 9milebrewing, District Brewing Company, Arcana Creative, City of Saskatoon – Your Local Government, Oskayak High School, Canadian Heritage, École Victoria School, and SK Arts, with the co-operation and coordination with Winterruption YEG, Winterruption WPG, and BIG
