The August 2 weekend marks the triumphant return of one of Vancouver’s most popular seasonal attractions — the beloved Chilliwack Corn Festival — and a celebration of summer at its peak with three days full of good old-fashioned fun down on the farm. The weekend will also debut the famous Chilliwack Corn Maze’s brand-new Bee theme, inviting guests to get lost in a buzz-worthy adventure through the fields. Festival-goers will enjoy a taste of seasonal corn on the cob, live music from Larry Edwards & The Johnny Bootleg Trio on Saturday (5-9 p.m.), Unbranded and the Morgan Griffith Band on Sunday (5-9 p.m.) and Ryan McCallister on Monday (2:30-5:30 p.m.), kid-friendly activities like face painting, fully licensed events from noon to close, and a line up of fun that includes corn shucking, a Saturday night cornhole tournament, and corn-eating competitions to crown the Chilliwack Corn Eating Champion.
