Join the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority at Port Day and learn about the maritime industry and its role in moving Canadian trade. The free, family-friendly event features live entertainment, interactive exhibits, maritime demonstrations, career exploration opportunities, and activities for all ages.
Event highlights include:
- KTL Transport North Point Stage: The stage will be alive with live music and performances all day long – featuring headliner Fake Shark.
- BC Coast Pilots Maritime Career Zone: Dreaming of a life at sea—or keeping things ship-shape from shore? We will welcome organizations showcasing careers across Canada’s marine sector – whether you’re a deckhand dreamer or a shore-side strategist, there’ll be a role that fits your course.
- Explore Zone: Batten down the hatches—the Explore Zone will be making waves! Offering everything from a bouncy castle for the littlest explorers to Ocean Wise’s Sea Dome and more for the older crew, it’ll be a boatload of seaworthy fun for all ages.
- BC Maritime Employers Association Waterfront Community Zone: The front plaza will feature interactive exhibitor booths including BC Maritime Employers Association, DP World Vancouver, GCT Terminals Canada, and more for your chance to see the maritime community in action.
- CN Gateway Zone: Cruise over to the west promenade to explore interactive activations from the maritime community and connect with exhibitors from across our #portcity.
- Helijet Flights & Flights Experience: Relax with a flight of beverages and take in the unique sights of the beautiful North Shore mountains and East harbour. While you’re there, enter our on-site contest for a chance to win a Helijet prize package!
- Marine Demonstrations sponsored by Fasken and West Coast Reduction: At 1:00 p.m., the Burrard Inlet will come alive with cool on-water marine demonstrations for a splashy spectacle that can’t be missed!
- Win a cruise, courtesy of Holland America Line: If you were feeling lucky, you had the chance to enter an on-site contest for a chance to win a 7-day cruise for two from Vancouver to Alaska on Holland America Line.
