Events Description
Calling all collectors of the bold, the bizarre and the beautifully handmade, the Weirdos Holiday Market is back. Now in its ninth year, this delightfully offbeat holiday tradition transforms the Russian Hall (600 Campbell Ave.) into an electric showcase of art, oddities, fashion and design brilliance. The market takes place over two weekends, December 5-7 and 12-14, giving visitors twice the opportunity to soak up the weird and wonderful spirit of the season.
More than 80 artists and makers will showcase their wares this year – including 20 completely new artists joining the market. With a rotating line-up of vendors each weekend, it’s the ideal reason for repeat visits and a must-visit destination for anyone looking to give (or get) something truly original this holiday season. Find one-of-a-kind treasures, including curated and collectible art prints, stickers, clothing, patches, unique jewellery, body products, candles, mounted insects, antique taxidermy, and more.
Each weekend kicks off with the Friday Night Market – a 19+ affair where things get a little cheeky. Expect R-rated curios for grownups who like their art (and their shopping) on the wild side. With an on-site bar, DJs, and a mischievous mood to match, it’s the perfect place to celebrate your inner weirdo.
Each market day serves up twisted holiday magic created by Puppyteeth Studios. Grab a photo with Weirdo Santa in his spooky mask, then disappear into Santa’s Big Pie Hole, a gloriously giant open-mouth photo booth.
Stay for live sideshow spectacle from Neil E. Dee and his Danger Thrill Show, get a tarot card reading by Kat of The Real Witchery, and fuel up with eats from a local food truck parked outside. It’s all part of the strange, sparkly chaos that makes this market anything but ordinary.
