Events Description
The belief that art reflects society was not far off for the Victorians and how they depicted women.
Many artists painted women in such a way as to show the societal standards and perceptions of gender, including how they shifted over time to depict the ‘New Woman.’ Join Inés Bonacossa, Collections Registrar, for this artful return of the Language of Dalnavert lecture series.
The Language of Dalnavert: An Insider’s Perspective
Join us for The Language of Dalnavert: An Insider’s Perspective of the House and the Victorians, a monthly lecture series with our Collections Registrar, Inés Bonacossa. Each month, Inés will share her insight into different aspects of Dalnavert’s collection and Victorian culture.
