Canada’s oldest civic art gallery established in 1912, The Winnipeg Art Gallery, has over 25,000 works of art ranging from 15th century European paintings to 21st century American multi-media art. Today, WAG is Canada’s sixth largest gallery.

As Canada’s oldest civic art museum, the WAG presents its collections and programs to local, national, and international audiences, maintaining the highest standards in current museum practices.
WAG also conducts tours, programming, educational programs for schools, studio classes and provides facility rentals for weddings, concerts, conferences etc.

Hours: Open throughout the year. Closed on Mondays, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day.

There is metered parking in front of the Gallery as well as on St. Mary Avenue and Colony Street. Parking is also available at ImPark (the Bay parkade) just across the street and in parking lots on Good Street behind the Abbott Clinic.
