Part of the Greater Toronto Area, Georgina is bordered to the north by 52km of Lake Simcoe shoreline and extends south into the rural areas like Baldwin and Udora. And while the region covers a great deal of rural parts of the York region, much of the action follows the Simcoe shore. Georgina consists of four main smaller communities, including Keswick in the southwest, Sutton and Jacksons Point, central to the shoreline, and Pefferlaw to the east. Between these towns are dozens of parks, including a Provincial Park, beaches, and four historic downtown areas.
