1. Silver Skate Festival

Rooted in Dutch winter traditions, the festival combines sport (especially skating), arts and culture, and recreation. Celebrating its 27th anniversary in 2017, the Silver Skate Festival is the longest running winter festival in Edmonton. Over the years, it has grown in leaps and bounds, from a small skating event to a large-scale, winter extravaganza. Details

4. Magic and Illusion

Clockwork MysteriesExternal takes its audience on a bizarre and fascinating journey through Time. Within seconds of taking the stage, Ted and Marion Outerbridge fuse their revolutionary illusions with split-second artistry – holding their audience spellbound. With the help of an elaborate Victorian time machine, the performers invite the audience into a mysterious clock tower equipped with a variety of timekeeping devices. They become part of a race against time, experience time accelerating and slowing down, and participate in predicting the contents of a time capsule.
