1. Canada Games Festival
The Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries Canada Games Festival – The festival will celebrate the many unique facets of Canadian culture by showcasing professional artists from across Canada. Each province and territory has been invited to join in creating an exciting festival atmosphere that will incorporate family-friendly activities and include an array of music along with Indigenous, francophone and cultural content from across Canada. The MacDon Family Zone at Parks Canada Place is part of the festival site and will feature a variety of fun, recreational activities for children and young families. Details

2. Folklorama
Folklorama is the largest and longest-running multicultural festival of its kind in the world, as determined by the International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Folk Arts. Over 40 volunteer-run pavilions participate each year, showcasing unique cultures in venues throughout Winnipeg. Pavilions feature lively entertainment, cultural displays, warm hospitality and authentic ethnic cuisine. Details

3. Canada Summer Games – Closing Ceremony
The ceremony will bring to a close the 26th edition of the Canada Games, celebrate athletes’ successes and pass the torch to the 2019 Canada Winter Games in Red Deer, Alberta. Titled “Grand Summer Party”, the Closing Ceremony will transform Investors Group Field into a summer festival site that will celebrate The Hottest Summer in Half a Century. The two-hour show will also celebrate the natural beauty of the province and call attention to the vibrant culture of its capital city Winnipeg. Details

Test an array of designs in our Paper Plane Factory. Customize your paper plane in our Science Soars: Aerodynamic Test Zone to make it fly farther, faster, and longer. Put your plane through its paces with a variety of skill testing games and challenges.
