A popular Canadian burrito chain is marking National Burrito Day with a budget-friendly offer.

Fat Bastard Burrito will offer a $5.99 combo on April 2 at locations across the country. The deal includes a small burrito, a pop and Doritos, all prepared fresh and customized to order. Customers can choose from fillings like veggie, chicken, ground beef or pulled pork.
The promotion is available in-store only and runs for one day.
Kala Patel, vice-president of marketing at MBI Brands, says the occasion is a natural fit for the company. She describes the deal as a way for Canadians to enjoy a familiar favourite without spending much, whether they already know the brand or are trying it for the first time.
For those with a bigger appetite, there is an option to upgrade to a larger burrito for an extra $2.
The chain, founded in Toronto in 2010, now operates more than 95 locations across Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta and Newfoundland.
