The Ontario government has announced that it is allowing in-store payment and purchases at garden centres, nurseries, hardware stores and safety supply stores.
Home Depot Stores will be open from Saturday, May 9 for in-store shopping. Garden centres in Ontario stores will open on May 8th. Home Depot said that some stores might temporarily pause curbside or in-store pick-up orders and Ontario stores will not be accepting returns until May 19.
A number of safety measures to combat the spread of COVID-19 are also put in place including:
- Limiting the number of customers allowed into stores at one time
- Marking floors to promote physical distancing
- Installing plexiglass screens, partitions
- Enhanced cleaning and disinfecting
From May 11th Ontario will allow all retail stores with a street entrance to provide curbside pickup and delivery.
