Roam Bus
Banff’s local bus system takes you far beyond the town. You are able to bus around the townsite via Roam for quick switches in locations. You can also take them a bit further to some wild views of Johnston Canyon, Lake Louise, Lake Minnewanka, and attractions like the Banff Springs Hotel or the Hot Springs. They also have a route which connects Banff to Calgary.

Hopon Banff
The Hopon Banff program lets you make the most of your time in the park by leaving the navigation and gas to someone else. The bus stops at popular destinations like Johnston Canyon, Lake Louise Village, or Moraine Lake for example. On your tour you’ll definitely get great views of natural scenery, but you may also get views of bears, moose, deer, elk, or other mountain animals.

Parks Canada Shuttle
Take in Banff’s most famous and scenic sites with the park’s shuttles! You can take a Roam bus to the pickup spot and hop a bus to Moraine Lake or Lake Louise. Parks Canada operates the shuttle to the mountain lakes, and you can book your spots online. They also offer a deal this summer to see both lakes for the price of one! Your shuttle can depart as early as 6:30 am, and as late as 3pm.
How much: $8 per adult (18-64), $4 per senior (65+), $2 per child (6-17), children 5 and under free
Open Top Touring
Open Top Touring is probably the coolest and classiest way to see Banff this summer. These tours bring you through the mountain valleys and parkways via an open-top bus. You don’t have to leave your seat for photos if you don’t want to and can enjoy the crisp mountain air for the entire ride. The daily summer tours run morning to evening from the Mount Royal Hotel.
