The FIFA World Cup 2026 is set to be the biggest yet, with 48 teams competing in 104 matches across 16 host cities in Canada, Mexico, and the United States. The tournament will run from June 11 to July 19, 2026, marking the first time three countries will share hosting duties.

Canadian cities Toronto and Vancouver will both stage matches, with Toronto hosting six games, including Canada’s opening fixture. Other host locations include Mexico City, Monterrey, Guadalajara, and major U.S. cities such as Los Angeles, Miami, Philadelphia, and Seattle.
The lead-up to the tournament includes the Final Draw on December 5, 2025, at The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. This event will sort qualified teams into groups and set the official match schedule. Some playoff matches will still determine the final slots after the draw.
The first ticket sales phase, called the Visa Presale Draw, kicks off on September 10, 2025, and runs until September 19. Only Visa cardholders with valid, 3D Secure-enabled cards can enter this draw.
Winners of the presale will be chosen randomly between September 19 and 29, with notifications beginning no earlier than September 29. Those selected will receive an email assigning them a specific time slot to purchase tickets, starting from October 1. Having a slot, however, doesn’t guarantee a ticket, as sales remain subject to availability.
Ticket categories range from premium lower-tier seating (Category 1) to more affordable upper-tier spots (Category 4). Accessible seating will also be available in every stadium. Prices start at $60 for group-stage games and reach up to $6,730 for the final. For the first time, FIFA plans to use dynamic pricing, meaning costs could shift closer to matchdays.
Sales will be capped at four tickets per person per match, with a maximum of 40 tickets across the tournament. Fans who miss out on the Visa presale will still have two more chances: an early ticket draw in late October and another random selection phase after the Final Draw in December.
Here is how to get tickets for the FIFA World Cup 2026:
- Register for Visa Presale Draw: Supporters need a FIFA ID to participate. Registration can be completed at FIFA.com/tickets by creating or updating a profile. Once logged in, fans must set up their FIFA Ticketing Account and officially enter the Presale Draw.
- Visa Presale Draw Application: Fans can apply between September 10 and September 19, 2025. The entry opens and closes at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time (8:00 a.m. Pacific, 9:00 a.m. Mexico City, 5:00 p.m. Central European Time). Only those with a valid Visa debit, credit, or prepaid card enabled with 3D Secure can take part.
- Lottery System: Entries submitted during the application window are pooled into a random draw. Random drawings to select potential purchasers run September 19 – 29, 2025. Notifications start no earlier than September 29, assigning time slots to buy tickets from October 1, 2025, subject to availability. Notices may arrive up to 48 hours before your slot. Check your email and spam/junk folders regularly through late October to avoid missing updates about selection status or assigned times.
- Important Reminders: Receiving a time slot doesn’t guarantee a ticket—sales remain subject to availability. Email alerts may arrive up to 48 hours before the allocated slot, and FIFA advises checking spam folders regularly through October to avoid missing updates. FIFA’s computer clock will serve as the official timekeeper for all deadlines.
CanadaRED:
Another route exists to get tickets for Canada matches. Canada Soccer has CanadaRED, an exclusive platform for Canada Soccer’s FIFA World Cup 26 ticket allocation. As a Participating Member Association, Canada Soccer receives 8% of the stadium capacity for each Canada match, varying by stadium size. Those interested can sign up online to become members, and they will be entered into a lottery. Each game has a separate lottery. All CanadaRED members will be notified of further updates via email.
Other Phases:
- Early Ticket Draw: Oct. 27–31, with sales running mid-November to early December.
- Random Selection Draw: Begins after the Dec. 5 Final Draw, followed later by first-come, first-served sales.
- Resale Option: FIFA will launch an official resale platform for fans.
