The art exhibition has been a global success and has travelled all over from Shanghai, to Poland, London, and several cities across America. The exhibition will open in Halifax on July 7th, and features Michelangelo’s greatest masterpieces, including 34 reproductions of larger-than-life frescoes from the Sistine Chapel.

The frescoes from the ceiling of the chapel have been transported here through high-definition pictures and have been displayed on massive canvases using a special printing technique.

Michelangelo’s stunning artwork will take your breath away as you notice all the vivid colours and details and form your own interpretation of his art. With each painting, there is information provided about it and an audio guide that will tell you about the background of each painting. This makes the experience even more enjoyable as you immerse yourself in the world of Michelangelo. Some of these popular paintings include The Creation of Adam, The Creation of the Sun and Moon, The Creation of Eve, The Last Judgement and so many other mind-blowing works.

It should take you about 60 to 90 minutes to see all the canvases and read about the stories behind them.

The exhibition will be held at Halifax Exhibition Centre and runs until September 9, 2022.
