Comedians John Mulaney and Jim Gaffigan are set to headline the 2025 Great Outdoors Comedy Festival this summer, performing back-to-back in Winnipeg and Edmonton.
The two comedy veterans will take the stage at Assiniboine Park in Winnipeg on July 19, followed by a show at Kinsmen Park in Edmonton on July 20.
2025 edition of the Winnipeg and Edmonton Great Outdoors Comedy Festivals run from July 18 to 20.
Mulaney, an acclaimed stand-up comedian and actor, has garnered multiple industry awards, including three Emmys, a Critics Choice Award, and a Writers Guild of America Award. Known for his sharp wit and observational humour, Mulaney is also scheduled to host Saturday Night Live for a sixth time on November 2. Joining him on the comedy festival lineup is Jim Gaffigan, a seven-time Grammy-nominated comedian known for his clean humour and popular specials. Gaffigan has earned three Emmys and recently appeared on SNL, portraying Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.
The Great Outdoors Comedy Festival, which debuted in 2021 in Edmonton, also plans to host festivals in Calgary, Halifax, and Vancouver in 2025.
The festival showcases top comedic talent in a cabaret-style outdoor experience for attendees, featuring acts from emerging local performers to internationally recognized headliners.
The event is strictly 18+, and attendees are required to bring valid government-issued photo identification for entry.
2025 festival tickets will be available through a presale starting Thursday, October 31, at 10 a.m. local time.
