Each winter, an enchanting holiday display transforms Burlington’s Spencer Smith Park into a winter wonderland with thousands of shimmering lights.
This is Burlington’s longest-running festival and lights up the waterfront for over 40 days during the holiday season.
The festival opens on Friday, November 24th with a Candlelit Stroll. Gather at Civic Square at 6 p.m. to light the Tree of Hope and a performance by the Burlington Teen Tour Band in Civic Square.
Grab your candles and enjoy the stroll downtown starting at 7 p.m. and enjoy music, snacks, and giveaways at various locations. This family-friendly event is free, offering candles and glow sticks for participants.
During the Candlelit Stroll and every Thursday evening in December, you can view the lights from the rooftop at Joseph Brant Museum. Enjoy free hot chocolate and popcorn while viewing the lights. Museum admission is not required for rooftop access as museum galleries are closed during this event.
The light displays will be open daily from 4 p.m. till midnight and will be on until January 8th, 2024. Take a drive to enjoy the free displays along Lakeshore Road. Or you can enjoy a leisurely walk in the park, viewing the lights. Parking is available in the downtown area.
Enjoy the spectacle that is the Lakeside Festival of Lights this holiday season! This is one event you wouldn’t want to miss!
