Get ready to hit the ice at Wascana! The rink has officially opened for the season.
Over the years skating at the Wascana has been a tradition for Regina Residents every winter season.
Located on the Wascana Lake directly in front of the Legislative Buildings, the rink is free daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Warming stations. tents and fire pits will be available on-site to keep visitors warm. The warming shacks will be open from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends.
The rink also has overhead lighting, professional boards, and rubberized skate tie-up areas. Washrooms will be available daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Do bring your own skates as skate rentals will not be available. Take care to only access and skate on designated areas. Visitors should obey the “no access beyond this point” and “thin ice” signs that may be posted around the lake.

The rink will be part of the Frost@Real taking place from February 3 – 12, 2023. As part of the festival, there will be themed skates on select nights. You can also learn to play Sledge, Hockey, Ringette and Broomball at the rink on select evenings.
