This year, North American Midway Entertainment, the provider of midway rides will be bringing the Super Wheel – 150 feet or 46 meters tall Ferris Wheel – to the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth.
The Super Wheel is North America’s tallest travelling Ferris Wheel.
According to the North American Midway Entertainment, Super Wheel features 36 climate-controlled gondolas that comfortably seat 4 to 6 guests per gondola and was manufactured in Europe by Ronald Bussink of Professional Rides AG. The Ferris wheel is transported on 20 tractor-trailer loads.
Calgary Stampede midway is not included in park admission. Ride and game coupons can be purchased at the NAME Kiosks/ticket booths throughout the midway grounds.
You can also get unlimited rides on the Superwheel and all the other rides on the Midway with a Ride All Day pass, available in-store at Sobeys, Safeway and IGA until July 4 for for $39.99 +GST.
Regular tickets are $20 for 22 Coupons, $50 for 55 Coupons and $58 for Ride All Day Wristbands.
Though North American Midway Entertainment is the midway provider of Red River Ex, K-Days, and Westerner Days, according to the news release, Calgary Stampede is the only Canadian stop for the Super Wheel.
