The Doobie Brothers to Visit 10 Canadian Cities on 50th Anniversary Tour

The Doobie Brothers, celebrated four-time GRAMMY Award winners and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees, have added a Canadian leg to their 50th Anniversary Tour.

The tour marks the first time in over 25 years that Tom Johnston, Michael Mcdonald, Pat Simmons, And John Mcfee have been back on the road together.

The Canadian leg will comprise ten stops across six provinces, commencing on Friday, October 13 at the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax. The tour’s second stop will take place at the Avenir Centre in Moncton on Saturday, October 14.

The Canadian tour follows previously announced performances in Australia, Japan, Singapore, and throughout the U.S.

 

The Doobie Brothers’ collection of timeless hits, which includes five top-10 singles, 16 top-40 hits, 3 multi-platinum albums, 7 platinum albums, 14 gold albums, and a rare diamond record for their 1976 album, Best of the Doobies, will be played by the artists who wrote them. Fans will have the rare opportunity to see these Rock and Roll legends perform their full catalog of songs on stage.

The Doobie Brothers have an impressive track record, having sold nearly 50 million albums worldwide. The band’s no.1 singles, “Black Water” and “What a Fool Believes,” lead a catalog of unforgettable songs, including “Listen to the Music,” “China Grove,” “Jesus Is Just All Right,” “Rockin’ Down the Highway,” “Long Train Runnin’,” “Take Me In Your Arms,” “Takin’ it to the Streets,” “Minute by Minute,” “You Belong to Me,” and “The Doctor.” The Doobies’ second album, Toulouse Street, sold millions of copies, marking the beginning of their multi-million-selling career. The band has since accumulated three multi-platinum, seven platinum, and fourteen gold albums. The Doobie Brothers’ autobiography, Long Train Runnin’, was released on July 26, 2022, adding to their impressive legacy.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, March 17th at 10 a.m. local time. Various presales begin March 15th.
