May Long Weekend Events & Activities in Charlottetown

Due to COVID-19 many attractions are closed and gatherings of more than 10 are prohibited.
Prince Edward Island is in a state of Emergency that mandates residents to maintain a 2 meter physical distancing to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Though there are not many things you can do during these unprecedented times, there are few activities that can be enjoyed while physical distancing is in effect.
1. Visit Charlottetown Attractions
PEI has mandated that attractions such as museums, galleries, libraries in the provinces can open with certain measures in place. Visit an attraction that is open near you.
2. Go Fishing
Enjoy fishing with family this long weekend. The May long weekend, May 15 – 18, is Free Family Fishing weekend in PEI. Although angling licenses are not required, anglers must abide by all regulations and rules.
3. Enjoy Hiking or Discover Nature Attractions
Seeking some fresh air adventure this weekend — the good news is there are lots of natural areas for you to explore. Parks and trails in the city, PEI Provincial Parks are open.
4. Go Birding
Spring is a great time to go birdingand there are many fabulous locations in PEI
5. Eat Out or Eat In and Support Local
If you can afford, eat out or order a take out from Charlottetown restaurants.

Explore Canada’s arctic, Winnipeg, National Parks and many more places from Home. Travel to international or outer space destinations like the international space station, discover Egypt’s Heritage Sites from tombs to monasteries or take a trip on scenic trains in Europe virtually.
