The Pacific National Exhibition returns this week with can’t miss attractions including the pyro-musical shows, and magnificent entertainment.
That’s not all, for its 112th year, Summer Night Concerts returns with an exciting lineup that is sure to thrill all music lovers.
British Columbia’s longest-running and the largest ticketed annual fair runs from August 20 to September 5, 2022, and these are the top things to do at the fair:

- Summer Night Concerts: Enjoy sensational performances this year featuring some of music history’s biggest names in Pop, Rock, and R&B. Running every evening the Fair is open on the GMC Stage in the PNE Amphitheatre. Performers include The B-52s Farewell Tour, Blue Rodeo, Barenaked Ladies with Special Guest Kim Mitchell, CAKE, Vancouver Symphony Orchestra – Classical Mystery Tour: A Tribute to the Beatles, Stars of Drag – “A Night of True Colours”, Gipsy Kings Feat. Nicolas Reyes, Chicago, Steve Miller Band, TLC & Shaggy, Brothers Osborne, Nelly, Bachan Cummings, The Beach Boys – Sixty Years of the Sounds of Summer, and Chaka Khan & Patti LaBelle.
- Fair Food: Treat your tongue with tasty delights as over 65 vendors will be serving up everything from Squid Ink Corndogs to Poutine Perogies and Vegan Burgers.
- Electric Fire – A Nightly Pyro Musical: Fill your fair nights with sparkling skies when immersive and magical, live pyro-musical colours the skies with flying rockets, exploding fire, live performers, and high-voltage intensity. Two Shows Nightly at Festival Park: 9:15pm and 10:15pm
- Kids Discovery Farm & 4-H Festival: Learn more about B.C.’s agricultural sector and get up close to your favourite barnyard animals. 300 members from BC 4-H will also be showing their 4-H projects.

- Dinosaurs Around the World: Travel back to an era you see only in movies at this captivating outdoor exhibition. Discover how plate tectonics, land bridges, and volcanic activity allowed dinosaurs to disperse to all corners of the globe, giving each of today’s seven continents its own unique selection of these giant reptiles.
- The Stars of the Peking Acrobats: Redefining audience perceptions of not only Chinese acrobatics but also what is possible within the sport, these acrobats push the limits of human ability, defying gravity with amazing displays of contortion, flexibility, and control, creating an exuberant entertainment event with the festive pageantry of a Chinese Carnival. Daily 4:00pm & 7:30pm
- The Flying Fools High Dive Show: Don’t close your eyes and miss this family fun event where acrobats plunge from incredible heights. Daily 2:00pm, 3:30pm & 7:00pm

PNE Fair
- The SuperDogs presents Pawvengers: Enjoy the high-flying fun of a SuperDogs show as they celebrate the world’s greatest superheroes all while foiling a supervillain of their own! Daily in the Pacific Coliseum: 12:30pm, 2:30pm, 6:00pm

- Rides: Don’t miss the iconic rides at the fair including the recently restored Playland Wooden Roller Coaster. The coaster built in 1957-58 from Douglas Fir is considered one of the greatest wooden coasters in the world today.
2022 Pacific National Exhibition
What: The 2022 Fair showcases a diverse entertainment lineup featuring appearances by internationally acclaimed musicians and performers as well as custom-designed programming. There will be food, rides and plenty of activities for all ages.
When: August 20th until September 5th | 11am until 11pm. The Fair will be closed on Monday, August 22nd and August 29th.
