Tripadvisor community also agrees as the annual community-powered 2022 Travelers’ Choice Awards list two of the five national parks located in the Canadian Rockies as the top 25 destinations for outdoor enthusiasts.
Banff National Park, described by Tripadvisor as “With Cascade Mountain to the north and Sulphur Mountain to the south, the town of Banff boasts a magnificent Canadian Rocky Mountain setting. Travelers are spoiled for choice by the irresistible combination of luxury lodges, perfect powder, renowned restaurants and energetic nightlife on offer. With both summer and winter appeal, Banff lures visitors to its stores, spas and slopes year-round” snagged the 12th spot.
Jasper National Park, “A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Jasper National Park takes you deep into Canada’s most beautiful scenery along the Rocky Mountains’ eastern slopes. This year, the list is populated with National Parks as most of the travel around the world was shut down due to the pandemic. Arenal Volcano National Park in Costa Rica was named the Best of the Best Destination for Outdoor Enthusiasts in the world for 2022 followed by Jim Corbett National Park located in India.
