Canadian Snowbirds
Canadian Snowbirds has announced that Canada’s iconic military aerobatics team of the Royal Canadian Air Force will be flying over Vancouver Area on July 16th.
Snowbirds will fly over Greater Vancouver Area to show their support to Healthcare workers for all their work in the last year as part of Operation Inspiration. The team will take off from Vancouver Airport (YVR), fly over Vancouver hospitals, North Vancouver, Burnaby, Maple Ridge, New Westminster, Surrey, Langley, White Rock and Delta.
Vancouver Flight Plan (Schedule):
Starting at 3:00 pm. on July 16th, the Snowbirds will fly over in the following order:
- BC Children’s Hospital
- UBC Hospital
- Stanley Park
- St. Paul’s Hospital
- Downtown Core (Vancouver General Hospital)
- Lions Gate Hospital
- Burnaby Hospital
- Sunny Hill Health Center
- Ridge Meadows Hospital
- Royal Columbian Hospital
- Surrey Memorial Hospital
- Langley Memorial Hospital
- White Rock Pier
- Peace Arch Hospital
- Delta Hospital
- Back to YVR airport
Snowbirds will be flying over 1000 feet above the highest point on the route.
The Canadian Snowbirds will also be participating in Abbotsford International Airshow from August 6 to 8, 2021.
Things to Do in Vancouver This Weekend
We were sitting on our patio and heard the beloved planes flying overhead, due to cloud cover we couldn’t see these magnificent machines, but hearing them was enough and felt the pride we share with fellow Canadians for our “BIRDS” Thanks from the bottom of our hearts !!!!!!!!!

‘Just had a glimpse of the Magnificent Snowbirds fly over North Surrey in formation.
Wow, what an exciting day of both recognition and celebration of our Province’s Healthcare Workers.
I salute you Snowbirds and your coordinating team on the ground for this extra special event.
I know my Uncle Tony would salute you too (passed). He was a very positive person and inventor / pilot for Air Sea Rescue, Comox.
