The Owen Hart Foundation is very pleased to announce actor and comedian David Spade will be performing his stand-up comedy on Saturday November 4th, at 8PM at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium, with opening acts Bobby Miyamoto & Katherine Blanford. This comedy event will mark the 24th anniversary of The Owen Hart Foundation and the work they do within the Calgary community and beyond. This extraordinary evening will punctuate The Owen Hart Foundation’s 24 years of humanitarian service and commitment to helping those with limited resources, but unlimited potential. Tickets go on sale Thursday September 28th at 10:00AM through Ticketmaster.
‘This year the Owen Hart Foundation (OHF) celebrates its 24th anniversary by proudly hosting David Spade at the Jubilee Auditorium on Saturday November 4th. David Spade is one of the funniest, most renowned comedians to ever perform in support of the (OHF), and personally one of my all-time favorite entertainers. David Spade rose to superstardom in the 90’s as an extraordinary member of the famed Saturday Night Live comedy series crew. He is not only an outstanding stand-up comedian, but also a writer, producer, actor, and television host with a long list of hilarious films and sitcoms to his credit. David Spade is without a doubt a brilliantly talented individual but also a kind and caring philanthropist who supports many worthwhile causes. I, along with my son Oje, daughter Athena, and OHF Committee are thrilled to welcome him to our city where he can share his incredible gift of laughter with us all’ stated Dr. Martha Hart, founder, and director of the Owen Hart Foundation.
Nominated in 1999 for an Emmy Award for his memorable role as Dennis Finch, the wise-cracking, power-hungry assistant on “Just Shoot Me,” David Spade became a household favorite during his five-year stint as a cast member on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live.” He was also nominated for a Golden Globe in 2000 and an American Comedy Award in 1999 for his work on NBC’s “Just Shoot Me.” Spade continues to be a box office draw and continues to do stand-up tours nationwide. His most recent stand-up special “Nothing Personal” debuted on Netflix in April and his newest television endeavor is “Snake Oil” which recently debuted.

The Owen Hart Foundation at the Calgary Foundation has proudly grown into a staple charity within the Calgary community and beyond while serving as an incredible celebration of Owen Harts’ life. For over two decades the OHF’s annual event has helped raise much needed funds for education, affordable housing, and foreign aid to vulnerable individuals. During this time, The OHF has presented legendary performers such as Sarah McLachlan (twice), Robin Williams with David Steinberg, Jerry Seinfeld (twice), Russell Peters, Steve Martin & Martin Short, Seth Meyers, Elvis Costello, Dane Cook, Russell Brand, Paul Anka, Neil Sedaka, Bob Newhart, Howie Mandel, Ringo Starr & His All Star Band, Howie Mandel, and others.
