The Beltline Bonspiel is a celebrated winter event that brings the local community together and is rooted in Calgary’s proud curling heritage. We’re excited to host the Bonspiel amateur curling tournament where teams compete to win the Brewer’s Trophy (symbolically)! We’re grateful to host the event this year on Vesta Properties’ 17th and Broadway lot, in the heart of the Beltline.
The one-day festivities brings together local Calgary teams with friendly competition and featuring CJSW DJs, delicious local food and craft beer. Local food purveyors Perogy Boyz and Empanada Queen will be on site and providing amazing eats. We are stoked to have Establishment and Eighty-Eight Brewing bringing a wonderful selection of craft beer. You can also purchase/pay by donation for bottles of water, coffee, and hot chocolate at the BNA tent.
In 1915, the Calgary Brewing and Malting Company (1892-1961) established the Brewery Trophy for curling. We honour that tradition by not only awarding the historic trophy at the Beltline Bonspiel but by celebrating local craft beer in our family-friendly rinkside beer garden.
