March Film: We Are the Roots: Black Settlers and their Experiences of Discrimination on the Canadian Prairies. The first film of the series is screening on Saturday, March 29 at 6:30 pm. Between 1905-1912, African American families left Alabama, seeking freedom in Canada. This documentary shares their journey of resilience and community-building despite discrimination.
