In September, we’re looking into the chilling unsolved mystery of the Zodiac Killer that inspired the 2007 movie starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Mark Ruffalo and Robert Downey Jr. In the late 1960s and early ’70s, a serial killer known only as Zodiac taunted police and terrified the public—sending cryptic messages, threatening more deaths, and eluding capture at every turn. The killer’s identity remains one of the most chilling unsolved mysteries in American history.”
