Sisters in Canada: A Gathering for South Sudanese Women and Girls
Join Nya Mawein and “Anzoa” Madelene Kajusa in Sisters in Canada: A Gathering for South Sudanese Women and GirlsSponsored by the Africa Centre: Black Youth Leadership Program. This event is dedicated to empowering South Sudanese women and girls living in Canada. Together, we will explore intergenerational trauma, healing, cultural identity, and the unique challenges faced by our community—especially in Calgary. Foster cultural pride through workshops that include beading and bracelet-making using the South Sudanese flag colours. Share your experiences living in the diaspora and connect with others from your heritage. Let’s come together to inspire healing and build a brighter future—for ourselves and for the next generation.
