Events Description
FIVE incredible music acts have been unveiled as the faces of the inaugural Spruce Meadows Concerts taking place this June and July—Leon Bridges, Dean Brody, City and Colour (Solo), Metric, and Brett Kissel.
The groundbreaking ‘Live & Intimate’ concerts, four of which have a maximum audience of just 2,000 fans, will be held during the venue’s new Epic Weekends events, alongside the show jumping, with one concert on Canada Day in a ‘come one, come all’ celebration.
Four of the acts will take the stage in the elegant and historic Equi-Plex building on the Spruce Meadows grounds, offering fans a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get ‘up-close-and-personal’ with their favourite stars.
City and Colour (Solo), aka Dallas Green, will offer up stunning sets on June 14 and 15, giving fans a unique opportunity to see one of Canada’s biggest artists in an intimate setting like never before.
Country sensation Dean Brody, on June 7, and indie darlings Metric, on June 28, will also delight fans.
Canadian country superstar Brett Kissel will be the only one to perform on Spruce Meadows’ spectacular outdoor Scotiabank Stage on Canada Day, July 1, as part of a host of celebrations.
Leon Bridges, best-known for hit songs River and Beyond, will deliver two incredible performances on July 5 and 6, marking the Grammy Award winning singer’s first-ever shows in Calgary.
