Best athletes from the world’s top show jumping nations compete for top prize money and international acclaim during the Spruce Meadows National. The tournament attracts over horses and riders from all over North and South America. From Olympic Champions to junior riders, the “National” has something for everyone.
- Barbie x Spruce Meadows is three days where world-class show jumping meets one of the biggest names in global culture —thousands of guests in Barbie x Spruce Meadows bandanas, larger-than-life photo moments, and one of the most recognisable brands on the planet woven throughout the Spruce Meadows grounds. Activities will take place from Friday to Sunday of the ‘National’ tournament
- Hobby Horse Challenge: The Hobby Horse Challenge returns to Spruce Meadows on Saturday and Sunday of the tournament, open to participants aged 8–16.
- Shopping: Shop ’til you drop at the ‘North American’! From Friday to Sunday, explore a variety of unique vendors offering everything from locally made goods and fashion to delicious treats and home items.It’s the perfect weekend destination for shopping at Spruce Meadows!
- Strathcona Mounted Troop Performance: The Troop is reminiscent of Lord Strathcona’s Horse in the nineteen twenties and thirties. The twenty-horse, twenty-five member Troop perform Musical Rides, Tent Pegging Competitions, and a Meet and Greet with the horses. Member are serving soldiers of Lord Strathcona’s Horse (Royal Canadians) who volunteer to join the Mounted Troop for 1 or 2 years. Performance types and duration are subject to availability and heat restrictions.
- Kids Zone: Pony Rides, Mini Animal Petting Zoo, Bouncy Castles, Maze, Face Painting & Glitter Tattoos, Crafts (10:00am-3:00pm), Kids’ Food Concession, Mini Train
- The Spruce Meadows Prairie Dogs have delighted and entertained the crowds for over thirty years. The Prairie Dogs train both obedience and agility, but their greatest talent is simply having a great time entertaining our crowds!
- Experience the excitement of a unique Duck Herding Demonstration! Watch as skilled handler Louanne Twa guides a flock of ducks with her herding dogs, showcasing the intelligence and agility of her dogs. It’s an unforgettable display of teamwork and precision.
