“The Hot Mess Express,” is a double-header theatre show featuring two plays by powerhouse women in the arts:
Falling Down by Trish Clark: In this award-winning solo performance, a retired nurse finds herself in one crisis after another—even at her own retirement party. Told with sharp wit and a touch of darkness, Falling Down turns pratfalls and mishaps into proof that life rarely behaves, and humour is the best defence against gravity and fate.
Fan Club by Ally Lane Estay: A comedy-drama for every woman who’s been told to quiet down or sit down. Follow a bestselling author, her hot-headed husband, and his no-filter sister through a night of meltdowns, menopause, and mayhem. Beneath the humour, Fan Club tackles the grave and often hidden issue of domestic abuse, exploring how women navigate and survive controlling relationships. With biting black comedy, the play celebrates finding your voice when the world tries to silence you.
