The Way We… Talk About Candy

For this edition of our signature The Way We… storytelling series, we’re leaning into our sweet tooths. We’ve handed eight storytellers the reins to regale you with tales of… well, the truth is, we don’t know how they’ll interpret the theme until they are on the stage.

Maybe ear candy? Taking candy from a baby (or a customer)? Finding the sweet spot. Kids in a candy store? Finding sweetness when your life turns sour? One thing’s for sure: Paul Myers (whose book John Candy: A Life in Comedy inspired this theme!) will spin a yarn about the legendary actor you’ll never forget.

NOTE: E. Jean Carroll JUST announced a new documentary film that is on the fall festival circuit. Due to a scheduling conflict, she is now unable to appear in The Way We… Talk About Monsters. But hark! She will instead be appearing in The Way We… Talk About Candy on Saturday.
