Third Culture Comedy brings you international globe-trotting laughs, celebrating all the zany side effects of being “in-between”, or in multiple cultures.
Come and see some of Calgary’s best comedians work out their trauma from their last oversees trip, or from a visit home to family!
With headliner Jen Sakato and host Grand Kommanda
Jen Sakato is a standup comic from Toronto who has performed across Canada and Asia, including at Just for Laughs Toronto. She has been featured on CBC Radio and SiriusXM. Her commentary on being mixed race, relationships, and modern life makes her an easy crowd favorite. She also recently let non-vegan donuts back into her life.
Michael Chijindu aka Grand Komanda is a Nigerian born Comedian and Master of Ceremonies, who now happily resides in Calgary. He recently taped his first stand up special at the Bella Concert Hall, but he stays humble with DIY projects such as redoing his kitchen backsplash.
