University District’s Winter Pop-Up

This weekend, University District invites Calgarians to its free, annual Winter Pop-Up event for all ages to enjoy an afternoon of seasonal entertainment and hands-on experiences. Highlights include ice skating on the U/D Ice Rink, sledge demonstrations, music, s’mores roasting and an ice carving demonstration.

What to expect:

• Attendees can warm up with complimentary s’mores for roasting.
  Live music from DJ GOODBAR.
• A live ice-carving demonstration from local artist Julian Lee.
• Guests are also welcome to hit the ice at the University District’s outdoor rink, bringing their own skates or renting a pair on-site from Skate Hut.
• In addition, U/D retailer AdaptAbility will host a sledge hockey demonstration, offering a fun, interactive introduction to adaptive sports and their impact.
