Events Description
This will be a poignant evening of reflection and connection. The event unites four women from Mexican, Indian, Chinese, and Greek backgrounds, set against the backdrop of an airport—a place symbolic of pause and transition. Representing the four cardinal directions, these women embody diverse origins, rich traditions, and the stages of life, revealing shared human experiences through their unique journeys. Their stories are like intersecting flight paths, crisscrossing the air; one may carry the ache of a lost childhood due to war, another the triumph of love’s resilience. Their lives converge, diverge, and dance—a symphony of shared humanity, expressed in the past, present, and future.
Featuring performances by Ballet Mexico Lindo of Alberta, Shivamanohari School of Performing Arts, Shang de Tai Chi Praying Mantis and Dionysos Dancers, the celebration will showcase cultural richness and resilience. Held on the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women, this event will also raise awareness about gender-based violence, honoring those who have suffered while inspiring action and empowerment.
