Camille Saint-Saëns’ philosophy that “form is the essence of art” is wonderfully realized in his compact and eloquent Cello Concerto No. 1, featuring Ottawa-born Bryan Cheng in his long overdue ESO debut.
ESO Pairings are curated intermission-free concerts that are perfect for newcomers to live classical music, while also offering a delightful reunion with favourite pieces for seasoned music lovers. Our knowledgeable conductors guide you through engaging musical journeys, unraveling the stories behind the pieces and composers.

ESO Pairings concerts are recommended for ages 8 and up. Children 3 years of age and under will not be admitted.
