Burton Cummings kickstarted his career as the lead singer and songwriter for The Guess Who, a band that achieved many accolades, including being the first Canadian rock band to reach #1 on the Billboard charts and first to earn a platinum album for selling more than one million copies in the U.S. In 1976, Cummings launched his solo career, producing more than a dozen hit singles and albums. He has earned five Juno Awards for Best Male Vocalist and Best Album and became the first Canadian artist to have a quadruple platinum-selling album. To this day, Cummings continues to write and perform worldwide.
Tom Cochrane’s career has spanned nearly 50 years, beginning with the rock band Red Rider before he transitioned to a solo career. He launched his solo career with the hit song “Life Is a Highway,” which sold over one million copies in Canada and another six million worldwide. Cochrane continues to tour across the world, both with members of Red Rider and as a solo artist.
