Mbira Renaissance Band — Fusing the traditional mbira of the Shona people with contemporary instruments such as guitar, keyboard, and brass, the Mbira Renaissance Band offers a sonic experience that is fresh, energetic, and subtly balanced. Cyclical yet improvisational, their music offers a unique interpretation of the contemporary mbira sound, tinged with reggae, Afro-jazz, chimurenga, and pop.
The concerts will be presented on the patio of CAFÉ bicyclette or the Great Halls at La Cité francophone in case of bad weather.
